For this particular cap I've used an original A.G.Spalding pattern from the era which features a 6 panel crown.

Made using heavyweight, Japanese milled sashiko cotton, this classic ball cap will mold to your head with wear and washes.
These caps feature horse hair cloth lining the front internal panels, a cotton sweatband for comfort, and oversized stitched eyelets.

I have added a beautiful wool felt motif. This wool felt was hand-dyed by Jo @indigoinspirations in her home in Mullumbimby, Northern NSW. This wool felt is made of Pure New Wool, which is naturally nonflammable and dirt repellent.

This particular pattern was prominent in the 1930's-40's and although not an exact reproduction, I feel these caps are the closest that you will find to the originals of the time in regard to fit. All constructed using period correct machinery and processes.

Here’s what my fabric supplier had to say about this particular fabric. “This fabric is excellently durable and used for kendo and judo wears. It is characterized for having beautiful concaved weaves made by the Dobi device, which is capable of repeatedly weaving patterns. This fabric expresses with weave work, the old- fashion technique called Sashi-ko, where it pricks the fabric with needles to give the strength of the material”.
