Made using some very interesting early 20th Century Japanese "Tazuna" cotton and lightweight Furoshiki cotton, this classic 1920's style short brim , unstructured ball cap will mold to your head with wear.
This striped cotton fabric was originally used for the reins of horses. The Japanese have used horses for centuries, primarily by the samurai class. Horse trappings were constructed of non-leather material such as cloth. This held true for the reins of their horses which were often made of cotton. The fabric is very old and rare, and this is reflected in the price of each cap.
Each piece is different in design and also weight, creating a unique one-off cap.

All of my caps are handmade from start to finish by me, using machines from the 1920's-1960's. No two caps are the same and differences in construction are to be celebrated.
