Here's my interpretation of an early 1940's Brooklyn Dodgers ball cap.

For this particular cap I've used an original Goldsmith pattern from the era which features a 6 panel crown, a leather sweatband, oversized stitched eyelets, and an unbreakable soft stitched brim consistent with Goldsmith caps from the era. This particular pattern was prominent in the 1940’s, however is not an exact reproduction cap as materials differ from that era. That being said, I feel this is an honest reproduction of the originals.

I now have the option of choosing either fitted sizing or a rear adjustable strap. I can also use a leather sweatband if you’re looking for something more authentic which can be selected from the drop down menu. Please make sure to leave your preferred size in the order notes at checkout.

Adjustable sizes:
55cm-57cm (6 7/8”- 7 1/8”)
56cm-58cm (7”- 7 1/4”)
58cm-60cm (7 1/4”- 7 1/2”)
61cm-62cm (7 5/8”- 7 3/4”)

Features:

- Royal Blue Melton wool/cashmere blend 6 panel crown / Kelly (or Emerald depending on what fabric I have in stock) green cotton twill underside visor

- Horse hair buckram backing internal front two panels

- Hand cut wool felt lettering

- Singer 32-43 oversized Stitched eyelets

- Australian leather or cotton twill sweatband

- Canvas lined mid-sized unbreakable stitched brim

- Satin taping through internal seams

All of my caps are handmade from start to finish by me, using machines from the 1920's-1960's. No two caps are the same and differences in construction are to be celebrated.
