This fabric is early 20th century and should be treated with care. This fabric has been natural Indigo dyed and therefore will bleed when washed. There are colour inconsistencies, repairs and fading on the fabric and these are to be celebrated. Please keep this in mind before purchasing.
Inspired by hiking outdoor caps from the 90's and early 2000's.
Made using some very special, lightweight early 20th century Japanese natural indigo cotton, these caps feature a longer style fully stitched canvas lined brim for good sun coverage, stitched eyelets and a rear adjustable strap.
I have used antique indigo/tumeric dyed, open weave hemp for the side panels. This fabric was originally from a mosquito net kaya from the early 20th century.
