*PLEASE NOTE* This is a PRE-ORDER cap and therefore production will take from 3-5 weeks depending on my workload.

For this particular cap I've used an original pattern from the era which features an unstructured 6 panel crown, a cotton twill sweatband, Singer 32-43 oversized stitched, and an unbreakable soft 2" inch stitched visor consistent with caps from the era.

I have used a 13.75oz Japanese Milled Charcoal (Sumi) dyed Sashiko cotton. These caps also feature a cotton twill sweatband, Singer 32-43 oversized stitched eyelets and a cotton twill D-ring adjustable strap. I have lined the underside of each visor with vintage Japanese Kimono cotton from my collection making each cap unique.

Traditionally woven in Japan, this heavyweight sashiko cotton fabric is dyed in sumi ink and built for durability — perfect for making Kendo, Judo, or other martial arts uniforms as well as rugged bags and jackets.

Known as "Sashi-ori," this heavyweight cotton fabric features a distinctive textured weave, traditionally used in kendo and judo uniforms. The intricate patterns are created using a Dobby loom, replicating the classic sashiko stitching technique that reinforces the fabric's strength and aesthetic appeal.

These particular caps are only available with an adjustable strap. Please make sure to leave your preferred size in the order notes at checkout.

All of my caps are handmade from start to finish by me, using machines from the 1920's-1960's. No two caps are the same and differences in construction are to be celebrated.
