Made using some absolutely beautiful early-mid 20th century Kakishibu (fermented persimmon tannin) dyed heavyweight cotton canvas, this classic early 1900’s short brim , unstructured ball cap will mold to your head with wear.

The fabric was sourced from Japan and is heavyweight. The fabric was originally used in the production of sake - Japanese Sake bags ‘Sakabukuro’.

The fabric is unbelievably strong for its age.

I have added a beautiful wool felt motif. This wool felt was hand-dyed by Jo @indigoinspirations in her home in Mullumbimby, Northern NSW. This wool felt is made of Pure New Wool, which is naturally nonflammable and dirt repellent.
